Access to information via refreshable Braille is now available in its most compact form. The PAC Mate Portable Display not only makes your PAC Mate more accessible but it also can be used with desktops and laptops.
Featuring a low-cost, simple platform, this 20-cell or 40-cell refreshable Braille unit adds functionality to computers with USB ports. With a pair of three-way Whiz Wheels for rapid navigation and dual-purpose cursor routing buttons, users can quickly and accurately obtain the information they need. The built-in VariBraille and programmable hot keys make these displays comfortable and easy to use on the go.

Depending on how much information you want to read at a time, the PAC Mate Portable Braille Display comes in 20-cell and 40-cell versions. Both offer you a gateway to data through any Windows or Windows CE operating environment.
Convenience and Familiarity
Professionals and students, who have used other Freedom Scientific Braille hardware devices, will be familiar with its technology. The Whiz Wheels are identical to those found in the Braille Lite M20 and M40 note takers as well as Focus Braille Displays. Its design addresses major end user accessibility issues such as comfort, simplicity and durability whether using it with the PAC Mate or PCs. Also, it is compatible with JAWS for Windows (and other screen readers coming soon).
